My dad has been on me since day one that I should NOT take Reece out on cold, wet, rainy days. "He catch a cold Leah" is all he says. Fine I understand that your concerned but I always thought you "catch" colds from germs....not the whether. Im NOT gonna let Reece play outside in the rain. Yes, if I can help it I dont go out when the whether IS bad...but come on. Its only about 5 sec from the house to the van. I so apperciate my dad looking out for Reeces' best interest but he gets on my last nerve. So please help me resolve this long disagreement between the two of us. Thanks!<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

if you imagine a cold germ as a germ in an overcoat it infects you
and you get over it, then it changes it coat and your imune system
doesn't recognize it so.... you catch another cold. you get a cold
in bad weather if you are already run down   whenmy
daughter was diagnosed the first thing we asked was where is the
best place we can live?.... weather does not affect cf
although i do feel if we lived in a warmer country she would
be more active and less infected. maybe your dad feels abit
'useless' or 'overwhemed' by the whole cf thing and protecting your
child from the cold and wet is his conrtibution, so he feels he is
helping. hope this is helpful. mum of E age 13 with cf and C
