Just wondering how you all clean a flutter valve? The booklet says soap and water. Do you think boiling will melt it?

Thanks!

No, don't boil it!

I wash Andrew's after every use and let it airdry on the counter..just like his spacers.

The Acapella Choice (not the plain Acapella) can be taken apart and boiled or run through the steam sterilizers. If you aren't comfortable not being able to sterilize the flutter, that is worth considering.

Well, I took it apart and "lightly" boiled it for 5-10 minutes and it was fine... After use I washed with antibacterial soap. Maybe frequent boiling ruins it?

I'd wash it with soap and water and THEN boil it, since the boiling is what sterilizes it- just like cleaning the nebs, where we wash first, then sterilize.

eta> I'm glad it did ok being boiled, though... I guess you'll find out over time how it tolerates it.
