FIRST good for you for being pro-active.

Secondly, buy a 'pasta pot' they are $20 and blue plastic and if you have hard water buy the kind from the grocery store you can refill your jugs for like 0.30 and then figure out how much time it takes to get a full 5 minute boil. I like it because you can pre-soak, boil, and drain all in the same thing and then hang them on a baby bottle rack while still steaming and they will dry nicely. It took me a long time to figure the easiest way out for me and this has worked. Also every once in a while I boil in vinegar water or soak in it to get any deposits that may be built up off.

I have always wondered what the best way of cleaning a neb is too. I soak mine in 91% alcohol for about 10 minutes then rinse them with warm water. I used to use just soap and water then I found mold in one of my nebs and realized I needed to do more. Occasionally I will take an alcohol soaked q-tip and run it threw the hole and mouth piece just to make sure I got it all.
