3)Prednisone - makes you super hungry

Find what you like and eat a bunch of it! For me , though, Prednisone has been a wonder drug for making me gain weight and getting my appetite back.

I eat foods that are high in carbs, I drink Boost with every meal, and have them with snacks. I also make sure that my blood sugars are not high, as that can contribute to weight lose. I try to stay active as well.

My doctors have put me on 5 cans of feeding formula a night, I am usually so full I dont eat until dinner time. </end quote></div>

That could be the problem. Between the time you wake up and dinner time, you don't eat anything. So basically your body is eating itself to get the energy it needs to function until you eat dinner.

If you are too full, try having less cans throughout the night, and eating a few meals during the day. Also, take boost with meals, to add the extra calories that you might have missed if you lower your consumption overnight.

Try eating 5-6 meals a day. They don't have to be big...500 calories each.

Working out will help as well. It always makes me hungry, and i find my appetite just sucks if i don't work out. You'll also gain muscle mass, and be more fit overall.

You gotta eat though. Don't expect to gain weight on feeding alone. I guess it all depends on how much it really bothers you. I know it's hard, but it can be done.

Good luck
