How many Cfers have DF508 & can't get pregant?

Hi,

I was just wondering if there where any c.f women out there who haven't been able to get pregant with the cf mutation DF508 cf gene (only)?
As I have that gene type and i have found it hard to get pregant (been trying for over 2 years now). I am looking into possible tests to be done this year to see if it's just my c.f cervial mucus that is proventing my husban and I from having children or a fertility problem with me.

Would be good to hear some feedback and your views on this <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I am Double DF508. I didnt use birth control for 12 years. Out of those 12 years most were with my first husband, but I also had long term boyfriends also.

I was only with my current husband (father of my daughter) for 10 months when I got pregnant.

How much was do to my health? Dont know...for the most part I was healthy with a good weight. How much was my partners? Dont know....

I was just curious to know, as I have read a few posts from others that have found it hard to get pregant. I'm just so glad i'm not alone on this subject on pregnacy, cause everyone keeps telling me it'll happen one day and that really frustrates me! Cause we have been trying for over 2 years now since getting married back in 2006. I think it might be me with the problem, but then again it might not. So that's why I've decided to go and get some tests done, to rule out any other issues.

I'm a double delta and we went through infertility for 26 months. We sought the help of a Reproductive Endocrinologist 12 months into our infertility journey. It turns out CF is not the only factor for me. I have stage IV endometriosis. I had the hysterosalpingogram to show my tubes were clear, then the RE found the endo. I had laproscopic surgery to get rid of the endo and then we proceeded to medicated IUI with clomid. Three rounds of that didn't work so we moved onto IVF. My RE claims the endo was inhibiting our ability to get pregnant the old fashioned way, even with IUI. Lucky for us IVF worked on the first try.

The testing can be scary and difficult but you will get answers. Hang in there Sarah, and good luck!
