i have the mutation g155d and df508 and just had my son 3 weeks ago. i had been off of birth control for about a year and a half i think. although my hubby was gone for part of it between boot camp, mct, his training school and a deployment. we didn't actually start trying till he came back from his deployment last september. i started using an over the counter ovulation tracker and took robitussin to help thin the mucus. he got home the middle/end of sept. and i was pregnant the beginning of october. needless to say i was shocked, but happy. hope that helps a little.

I don't think being double DF508 has anything to do w/ conceiving (just like it doesn't have much to do w/ the progression of anyone's disease). The only problem CF plays in getting pregnant (other than harming nutritional status which could prevent ovulation if malnourished) is possibly thicker cervical fluid than average. Lots of women w/o CF have problems getting pregnant and CF women are no exception - we can have all the same problems as the general population.

Shine - it may not be solely "your" problem when it comes to fertility. Men have problems too.

Thank for all your replies.

My husban will be getting tested too, as well as myself.

Two quick questions though, Does anyone know what other sort of thinning agents for (thinning the cervical mucus) you can try and use to get pregant?

And if I did become pregant one day (hopefully), what signs I should look out for?
