How many naps does your infant take each day?

My daughter seems to be taking a lot of naps during the day compared to most other infants. She is 7 1/2 mo old and still takes a nap after each feeding. She feeds 5 times a day. I would estimate she sleeps 5 hours each day. She sleeps fine at night though. We put her down at 8pm and she wakes at 6am.

DS was a napper. Sometimes he'd sleep the whole afternoon away. Figured he just needed the extra sleep. Also, he stayed up a little later, but we ended up waking him up at 7:30 before taking him to daycare.

I can't remember when he stopped napping in the morning, but he almost always slept in.

My oldest (wcf) hardly slept. He would sleep in two hour shifts throughout the day and the longest block he slept was around 4 hours or so starting at 2am. He ran me ragged and I learned to sleep every time he slept.

My youngest (nocf) slept 20 hours a day until he was about 10 months old -- this was 14 hours a night plus three long naps a day (while getting a bottle sometimes every 2 hours 'round the clock, even in his sleep). He also grew like a weed on steroids. He was in a new size every four to six weeks until he was 10 months old. I used to joke that if I didn't have hand-me-downs from his brother, I would have been robbing banks to keep him clothed. When he quit growing like a weed, he went from sleeping 20 hours a day to sleeping about 14 hours a day in just six weeks. He dropped from three naps a day to just one and slept a bit less at night.

My son, who just turned 1 year, takes one 2-hour nap after lunch. He goes to bed about 7pm, then wakes at least 3 times for a bottle... He is running me ragged.
