Well it is hard to put a number on when you need a transplant b/c everyone's body is different. usually when you go below 30% that is when they start talking about it. Now for me i was at 17%...... I was that low for about 3 yrs and had been below 30% for probably 6-8 yrs. Now i didnt need oxygen during the day jsut at night and when i worked out. also my weight was stable and close to the normal range. So really it depends on how your body adapts to your lungs. How is he being negative?</end quote></div>
Ok, I'm still learning how to quote. Hopefully I have it right <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">
By negative I mean my doctor is kinda cold (but I don't think she means to be) when talking to me about my health. like she tells me in roundabout ways what is going on, but also never suggests anything for me to do to help myself (For example, I'm dropped from FEV1's of 60% to 30% in a couple of yaers). I don't want to paint a bad picture...but when it comes down to it, I feel that with her I'm just a patient and that she doesn't realize I want to fight and be as healthy as possible. Hope I make sense. I also have another doctor at the clinic who is much more "patient friendly" and thankfully next apt is with him.
