Our GI has scheduled an Upper GI w/ Small Bowel so she can try to get to the 'bottom' of things. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">

I looked online and supposedly a full-term infant should have about 100" of small bowel, if so they took ~3/4 of his in the first pass.

We have the dictated surgeon notes, and they didn't denote how much. In fact, the surgery 4 weeks later by the same attending mentions 'bowel resection of unknown length' when referencing the 1st time. Good to know even they didn't remember how much they took ~!@#$

Well guess we shall see....

His last CF clinic actually did a Upper GI with follow through last November at my insistence. But, we never got the results with his records. Because he's a foster-adopt situation, we can't access his old records personally. And, his state social worker is not very savy about getting what we ask for.

His current GI said that not only was the study from 9 months ago not valid today (history of repeat bowel obstructions), she wants her OWN tests to know what is going on with his bowels. I'm just waiting for the Children's Hospital to call and schedule the testing.
