we pay 95.9 pence a litre in the west of scotland.Some places can pay over £1 per litre, so that would be $1:80per litre.
There is 4.55 litres in an Imperial gallon, so we pay £4:36 per gallon, which is $7:86. Mind you a US gallon is smaller than a UK imperial gallon.
There is 3.78 litres in a US gallon.
So we pay $6:53 per US gallon here in Scotland.

It's 150 yen (about $2) per litre for high octane (premium) in Osaka, Japan.
If, off the top of my head, the litre to gallon conversion is 2.5 l per gal is correct, then we pay twice the amount for gas here!!! Makes wishing that having a "rice burner car" really meant it ran on sake!!!
