Both of my kids cough up very little, and can only produce a decent sputum sample if they have a lung infection going on at the time. Other than that it's just small amounts coughed up into a tissue, usually during treatments (vest & saline)

Mine is very dry and thick even with HTS - but even the bit I can huff up is usually swallowed rather than spat out into a cup. I find it too gross to look at in a cup. The only time I use a cup is when I have to give a sample!

it all depends on my physio the more i do more i get up
so for 3 sessions lasting around 30 mins each in all i produce roughly around a qaurter to a third of sputum a day
and its shocking if i miss a day i probably produce something like up to a half a potful of sputum ie pot of creon 10,000
