YEA!!! ...i know it seems like such a small thing, but in our world it is HUGE!!!.... i especially like no more APPLESAUCE SNEEZES!!..ugh...seemed like the spoonful of applesauce with enzymes laid in her mouth just long enough for her nose to decide she needed to sneeze and blow it all out on her mommy!! (that happened way to many times to miss!!)

Enjoyed hearing everyone who has gotten past breaking the enzymes open. Our Jaden hates enzymes will not take them in anything. I don't know how he knows their there but he does and will refuse the spoon. We started putting them in juice but sometimes it takes a while for him to drink the darn juice box. Then the other night, we thought about Chocolate Milk - Used skim milk because it has no fat and the hershey syrup indicated zero fat too. He drank it right down. Does anyone know if this would be OK? He has been out of the hospital since 3/31 and has gained 5 oz.

I was told that enzymes should be put in something acidic like applesauce or baby food (I have used jelly when desperate and nothing else is around). They also said that you should not put it in with milk products because it gets broken down too early and won't be useful. I would contact your local CF clinic with questions.

we were also told only a highly acidic food like applesauce or ketchup....this help the enzymes not "breakdown" before the child eats.

We can't wait until Graycie is old enough to swallow the pills whole. One thing we do find funny is that when dining out the little pill halves all over the table. You have to wonder what they think when they clean our tables. LOL

Isabella was potty trained and started swallowing pills all in the same month. Now that was real cause for celebration! No more applesauce or diaper bag!
