How to get inhaled GSH?

Hey, my doctors have never mentioned GSH before, but (I'm a 17 year old guy with CF) I'm quite intrigued by the results people have on it. Where could I get my hands on this in Alberta, Canada, and what kind of dosage will I be using every day? Will it be cheap, as it isn't medication, or is it an expensive supplement. Thanks.

Here is the website for the capsules and the inhaled form

The L-glutathione plus capsules are the ones you inhale. It's 35 dollars for a bottle of 100, which is pretty good.

They also have in ingested kind, but the thing about glutathione is that it isn't readily absorbed as is. A lot of people have had good results with the liposomal GSH, as it is absorbed more easily and has been shown to increase gsh levels in the blood quite substantially. The thing about that is it's quite expensive, about 90 dollars canadian per 4 ounce bottle. I guess if you use about a teaspoon a day, plus maybe 2-4 inhaled glutathione pills, it would be about 140 dollars a month.

www.gshnow.com i think has a good product.

The recommended dose by doctor bishop is 30mg/pound/day. So if you're 100 pounds you're looking at 3 grams. It's quite a bit. The good thing about the liposomal gsh is that you don't need nearly as much.

If i was you, i would buy the liposomal, take 1/2 teaspoon twice a day, and inhale maybe 400 mg twice a day. Use that with l-arganine (taken orally) and NAC (500 mg twice daily) and you're looking at a killer combo. A bit expensive, but there have been so many good results from it, i think it's worth it. As soon as I am in better financial situation, that is what i am going to do.

Hope that helped, and good luck.

There are also blood tests to test plasma gsh, so you could do that for a month, and then see if it's improved.

haha ya, when i first mentioned i took GSH, they thought i meant growth stimulation hormone. They had no idea what i was talking about! lol

I don't really tell them the supps i take. I think they would think i was nuts. It was hard enough to try and get them to let me try HS before it was approved. And that's just salt water

Hi Ender,

I was just wondering what sort of sups you take. I was also thinking of starting my 19month old daughter on GSH, but i haven't read up on enough info as yet.

I was also told to take GSH with vit C. What is l-arginine?

CAN you please give me some info!

L-arganine is a precursor to NO, which is significantly lower in cf individuals. A decrease of NO in the lungs is associated with more obstruction because it disregulates the smooth muscles in the airways and creates constriction.

L-arganine has shown to increase No production in the lungs, and the sputum. Furthermore, taking GSH (which is also significantly lower in cf individuals) creates a substrate for GSNO, which lasts a lot longer than NO.

Ya i heard vitamin c helps with the uptake of GSH as well. Just google GSH and vitamin C and you will find some stuff.

that's refering to the mechanism of l-arganine, and this:

refers to the mechanisms of NO.

ALso note that HIV patients that have decreased levels of gsh in the blood exhibit a lot of the same respiratory symptoms as cf individuals!!

There is so much info out there on gsh and cf.

Here check out this website, it has all the info you need on GSH and GSNO.
