IMO, you should probably go in and have an ultrasound and/or xrays. When DS had his obstruction last summer, they said his symptoms were similar to an appendicitis, so they checked for that.

<br />He had a fever, vomited anything he ate, stopped stooling, and his tummy was hard and he said it hurt.

You ought to get a referral for a GI. Ask your CF clinic who they would recommend you going to. This is not something your PCP has the knowledge to handle if he's not very CF knowledgable. Depending on your insurance and how they want referals done, we just found out that if our girls' CF doc want them to go to another specialist for a CF related issue (like GI) they can submit the referal and we don't have to go through the PCM (same as a PCP). This was new to us after all these years.

Well I am still having the same problems . Still no colonoscopy. The miralax helps but something is different. My body doesn't tell me like before than i need to go . If i miss one dose of miralax i cant go for 2 days. I talked to my Cf doc about it or the nurse and she doesnt seem to be taking it all that serious. Even said I didn't have to come to clinic today b/c I have to go next week for the trial for aztreonam. So i think i will try a fleet enema and see if that helps.

My doctor said that I can do a special dosing of Miralax if it get stuck-- 4 one day, 3 the next, 2 the next day and finally the last day back to one. Unfortunately the past few days I have been having to do two doses per day. Things finally move successfully.
