Hey Everyone,

Lets drop a few lines for her. I know she'll love to see all your words of happiness and encourgement. Her first baby shower is sometime today, and I know how much she was looking forward to it. It felt so surreal to her. Her eyes will probably be gushing with happy tears today. Okay ladies, post away!!!<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">

Hey Sweetie,

I hope you are enjoying your special day. I am sooooo happy for you and your hubby! This is your dream come true! You always wanted to be a "Mommy" and now your moment is here. You must have been glowing today. I hope that today was everything that you wanted and expected. I can only imagine all the tears, laughs, and smiles exchanged today. All the baby items must have been so surreal to you. Heck, you might need to load a truck twice with all the gifts from your large family. LOL! I am sooo happy for you! I know that I couldn't be there today, but you were in my thoughts from the moment I woke up. That is why I posted this thread at 8:00 am on a Saturday morning. Today was YOUR DAY!!! Treasure it forever in your heart. I hope you took pics b/c I know your not a HUGE fan of picture-taking. You will want to look back on this day years from now so I hope you did or someone anyway. I'm sending lots of hugs and kisses your way!!!

My Dear Christian,

Although we probably will never have the privelage of meeting in person, I know that we are always in each others thoughts. I think that every time someone from our clinic becomes a Mommy that either Dr. W gets another gray hair &/or a beautiful picture of the addition to that extended family to post on the wall. It will be a rewaring challenge and I wish you and your family the best in all the sorrows and joys that come with parenthood. Savor every moment. It will fly by so fast you will wonder if it was a dream!

What a lucky baby this baby due in late June is. She is to have the best mommy in the world. Christian, I've met a lot of dedicated people in my life with various passions. You top them all as you embrace motherhoood with such drive and determination. Always thinking of the baby first. Your energy is contagious ~ I just can't get enough.

I hope today you basked in glory and that the reality of your beautiful life sunk in. I can picture you in your stunning yellow dress. What a blessing it is that this baby is going to have you as a momma. I hope today you were showered with love, affection and attention. You and your baby deserve the best!

Christian-I dont know you well but hopefully that will change soon! I can't wait to swap new mom stories with you. I just know yesterday ( a bit late here) was a wonderful, fulfilling, and beautiful day. I wish you and your growing family many blessings.

Oh thanks everyone and Jennifer-that was so sweet of you to think of me and post your well wishes.

The shower went wonderful. Omg, we got so much stuff. My side of the family is throwing a shower in a few weeks-don't know what they're going to get us b/c there's nothing left to get! Me not finding out the sex of the baby makes it hard too b/c they can only get so many clothes.
It was so beautiful. I almost felt waking up that morning like it was my wedding day-it had that same significance to me. Definately a full circle moment. I never thought I'd be sitting at my own baby shower. I used to go to them for other people and think, no I'll never have this. The feeling yesterday was almost overwhelming.
When they brought all the gifts in, they filled half of our bedroom! I could barely sleep last night, I was so excited. I kept thinking about all the little cute things there and wanted to get up in the morning just to go through them again. I just keep picturing a little body in the clothes, laying in the bassinet....I can't believe there is going to be a little person in that stuff in a few weeks.
