Just FYI that there have been some discontinuations. See here for American Society of Health Pharmacists bulletin from 1/8/2010: <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.ashp.org/Import/PRACTICEANDPOLICY/PracticeResourceCenters/DrugShortages/GettingStarted/CurrentShortages/Bulletin.aspx?id=572

</a>

I think these are Supplier Discontinuations..
Because My Pharm has 750s instock, I always have
to take the 750s in Cipro or Levaquin.
500s just are not strong enough , 250s never were.

last month i had a new younger pharmacist tell me that pancrease mt16 had been discontinued!
i panicked for a minute, but of course i knew that he was wrong, and it was cleared up within a day.
mistakes happen. thats why i firmly believe you have to be on top of everything as a patient and never assume that every health care professional you come across will do the right thing everytime.
you can't fire someone for every (minor) mistake that happens-hey no one (none of us included) would have a job if each person got fired for every mistake or misunderstanding.
