We recently had an 'input ventilation unit' installed in the loft, we had problems with condensation and mould growth. The unit forces air from outside into the home, as modern homes are draught free because of better fittings and carpets etc etc, It has been brilliant at stopping the condensation, let me find a link.

Meant to say that my wife, who has asthma, has found the air in the bedrooms a lot cleaner to her.
