Hurting tushy

My son mentioned the other day that his bottom hurts when he does an oily poo. I dont know whether it's the enzymes or maybe just all the wiping he has to do if he has oil. Maybe some wet wipes would help (baby wipes), I might give it a go.

He doesnt have oily poo a lot though. He usually has it if he hasnt had enough enzymes or left them too late after eating. He has Creon 10, and has them during his meal usually, unless he's preoccupied and forgets (which happens sometimes).

Maybe you could try giving the enzymes in the middle of the meal, but i think I've been told that they stay in the stomach for approx twenty minutes (not sure how correctt hat is though).

If its a burn.....I suggest trying the flushable wipes that are available. Dont recall the name, but they are baby wipes MEANT to be flushed so you supposedly wont clog up your sewer system.

If the tush hurts from all the wiping due to the oil OR even if its from just pushing to hard....the wipe should relieve it.

IF the wipes dont help or at least not for more then when they are actually touching him (hopefully the relief will last awhile) then I would look into it further....like the enzymes not digesting &/or burning his tush.

I have those little flushable wipe containers on EVERY toilet that Zoe uses. I wipe her bottom with tissue, then wipes, they pat it dry with tissue again. I think that really helps.
Hope his tush feels better!

We use the flushable wipes as well and I even have some individual packages of wet ones that I carry in my pockets for when we're out and about -- tp in public bathrooms is soooo rough and thin. DS has issues with not being able to wipe very good -- typical for a child that age, so he sometimes gets a red monkey butt.

I usually have him take a bath every night so he can soak his butt and if it's really bad we'll use a little triple paste before bed and/or anti-red monkey butt powder. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
