I get my 7% compounded into individual vials of 10mL so I can choose how much I want to do which my clinic varies from 4-10mL depending on person.

I like doing it, mine does not make me cough up a bunch all at once as others ahve described (it does if I am gunked up fro some reason) but I am not overly productve lately but I do get 'little bits' that 'float up' throughout the day and when I do get a quantity instead of being actively coughed up it seems to just come right up.

My dr only use it or pulmozyme not both but I requested both. THe months that I am not on TOBI I use it instead of TOBI to keep my treatment schedule the same. The months that I am on TOBI I usually do some on friday night and the weekend as a 'bonus' treatment.

Nicole -- interesting that your doc will not regularly prescrib both pulmozyme and saline -- they do two different things... why would he not want everyone to benefit from both?

I use a ProNeb-Ultra, I used to mix the HS myself but now I use the premixed 7% bought from the CF Services pharmacy. I was off of it for awhile because my doctors pharmacy ran out of the mixing kind and premixed (7%) was about $60, but after jumping through a hoop or two and had CF Services contact my insurance social worker I'm on it scott free now. Thank you Jesus!
