My laptop bears the brunt of my nebulizing entertainment, and it holds up okay with me blowing salty air into it EXCEPT
1) when I leave it in front of an open window on a humid day
or
2) when I bring it to my IL's beachhouse where the ambient humidity is super high.
My husband says that in high humidity, the salt is liquifying and screwing up the electronics. So in these situations, the laptop spazzes and the keyboard barely works. Sometimes, the whole thing doesn't work at all. I've learned that if I keep it running/hot, I can sometimes "fix" the problem.
So I'm trying to avoid using my laptop while nebbing, but I'm worried about my other electronics. At the beach over Easter I played with my phone while nebbing (a Droid) and the screen was reactive for a couple days.
Does anyone else experience these issues? My husband and I have determined I have some inherent ability to break electronics, so maybe it's just me. Also, if you have had these problems, have you come up with any fixes? a big clear bag over your laptop with holes for your hands??
