Hypertonic Saline/insurance

Faith is on the kind you mix yourself and our insurance company did pay for it. We looked into getting the pre-mixed kind just for traveling, but it really wasn't a big deal to mix it. We're actually off of it now. They think she may be swallowing some of and making her nauseous.

Hey good news guys.... I just got a call thru our pharmacy and they are going to send us the kind we need to mix, which is great because our insurance will pay for it all. Yippey..............

This is just a thought for the future. Foundation Care which Amy turned me towards offers both Colistin & Hypertonic premixed. I know that the billing for Colistin pre mixed is the same as the unmixed so as long as the insurance company covers the med I could get either version, but I could get the premixed from them. I would think the same thing applies to HS.

Here is there link so maybe its something to keep in mind & even contact them regarding the insurance etc. They accept many insurances are becoming a nice alternative to CF Pharmacy especially for those who prefer the pre mixed products.

yea Mel...good link. I got mine through foundation care...a two month supply for $18....not premixed

I have never had a prescription filled there tho, so Im gonna try to switch to CF Services next time. I think i may have to get the mix your own tho next time...w/e, doesnt matter to me
