Hey! Yes, that is our Maggie. I know, I love her thighs, too. She has lost her budda belly as she is growing so long. But the thighs remain! She lets us just pour the enzymes in her mouth...she takes 3 capsules one right after the other that way. One of the benefits of starting enzymes at one week old...she doesn't know any differently!

Our daughter has had very little if any lung issues. But her Doctors has had her on HS for over a year, she started it right after the New England Journal of Med. published it's findings in the clinical trials. She has been on the full dosage, and the only problem she had was getting use to the concentration of the saline getting into her lungs. After a few times, she got use to it, like all the other meds.
Avery was the youngest to be put on it at the time and we have nothing but great things to say about it. If they are offering to put your child on it, then I would stand by that b/c Avery has had no problems. She is at this point not a cougher, she was not been sick in at least a year. She does it twice a day, and right now she is only on the HS and not Pulmozyme, but she normally does the two. Hope this helps !!

Our daughter started HS a month ago; she will turn 4 this month. Her only lung issue is she cultured PA (3 clear cultures since then). They also put her on Albuterol to ease the constriction that can happen with HS.

She coughed a lot during her first several treatments - an irritation cough, not a productive cough. But she seems to be tolerating it very well now. I can't say specifically that I have noticed an improvement in her overall health. But it hasn't seemed to hurt anything, either. Since the way it is supposed to work makes sense to me, I'm personally glad that we are on it!
