Hey Guys,

I would like to know your opinion about drinking alcoholic baverages. Just to see is the symptoms are the same.
Because, everytime I drink a few Beer, I can just feel how my lungs dry up. Weird thing is that every single time I drink, I start coughing up dark stuff. Everytime! And the last 2 times now, I've been coughin blood after drinking alcohol. Can it be that it dries up my lungs so bad, that i cough blood?

What are you experiences? ...

No coughing blood with alcohol for me, but if I drink enough for even a tinge of a headache the next day, then my lungs are trashed that day too--darker mucus and achy chest. I vote for the dehydrated theory, although reflux is a possibility too. (Alcohol increases reflux.) Sorry to hear you have such a bad response. Not much good to say for alcohol...

I used to bleed a lot and when I drank it happened more. Maybe alcohol thins the blood and you bleed easier. I had the veins in my lungs carterized and NO more bleeding and I drink a glass of wine a night!

I rarely have a drink and if I do its small amount, I cant remember the last time I had more than two drinks--it's been years. I noticed that I get 'lung' sick when I drink usually the next day or two days later. I never drink during cold/flu season now.

When I did drink more it was still rare and looking back I would often get tight in my chest or pleural pain. I was undiagnosed and/or newly diagnosed then so I had no idea.
