Hey there.... don't try to worry yourself too much, those were my #'s pre-testing also (except I have had CFRD for almost 2 yrs now)... and now that I am preggers and on insulin, it's making me eat better so I don't have to stick myself so much.

Until you hear from a doctor or see a diabetes doctor, just try steering clear of the simple sugars (regular softdrinks, especially regular soda & juices) and eating carbs... if you are eating pasta or potatoes, just eat smaller meals throughout the day. That was always my problem - I eat SOOOO much, and i looove pasta, rice, all the carbs hahaha. I now eat whole wheat pasta, and eat more frequent smaller meals throughout the day.

Protein is fine when you have diabetes - I try to eat more meat with my meals; my spaghetti and meatballs used to be a heaping plate of pasta with a couple meatballs, now I take more meat, less pasta.

You will learn how to play around with the foods and what will make your sugars stay somewhat under control until you see the doctor!!!

Good luck, everything will be fine! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
