I forgot my eFlow and I'm on vacation!

AAACKKK!! I was in the airport security line when I realized I forgot to pack my eFlow for vacation! So I'm basically in panic mode now because I will definitely be sick by the end of the week without my nebs. I take everything in my eFlow so I'm really lost right now.

The only thing I could think of was to call IV Solutions and see if they'll ship me a spare eFlow for the week and then I'll ship it back when I get home. I'm hoping they will be that nice, but it might be wishful thinking.

Any ideas? I'm desperate!

If you're in the U.S still, I'd think it would be no big deal to have your Cf doc fax a prescription for a nebulizer-maybe not an eflow, but a regular old nebulizer/compressor. Your other option is to purchase a pari trek online and have it overnighted to you and then try to get a partial reimbursement. (about $100-150)
Is there someone at home who has a key to your house who can get it an overnight it to you?

Otherwise, it might be tough to get an eflow quickly. But you should be able to get a compressor and some nebkits at a local medical supply store with a faxed prescription from your dr office Monday morning. You would probably have to pay for it though.

Walgreens and CVS's carry Pari nebulizers now in stock. One of them was bragging in an ad recently how they are always in stock. Just get your doc to call in RX to the local one and it comes with a Pari ProNeb Ultra. Should get you buy for a week. Pick up some isoprophyl alcohol while you are at the pharmacy and a rubbermaid container and you can sterilize the neb in it.

My compressor stopped working once when I was out of town. My husband went to a pharmacy who told him about a medical supply place in town. At first they said they needed a prescription but when my husband explained the situation they sold him the compressor w/o prescription. Only cost $120 and got me through the trip.

i don't know about an eflow but my home health company rents nebulizers while i've waited for a replacement (and by rent i mean it would lend me one for free). they've offered multiple times but i've always had a back up. try a local home health respiratory care center.
