This is odd to me; when I was younger, and had "made Whoopie!", I never had any problems with breathing, coughing, nor not even as much as having the "done before I started-30 sec course" syndrome, but had the "30 sec" course throughout my first marriage! Of course, despite never recalling such a problem from past experiences, she blamed ME for that!! Then, when I re-married, seemed to be able to hold out past the "30 sec" threshold! Hmm...I actually thought it might be CF related, but doesn't seem so.
However, this one may be related to the stress from the past 2 years, but my "drive" has kind of dwindled away, too. If I do happen to be in the mood, I'm dragging the next day. Maybe I still have to get my energy level up a little higher, first...

My ex husband use to have a saying....."What I use to be able to do all night long now takes me all night long to do!" I never thought of how appropriate that was until just now!

Yeah, me too. In fact, recently during it, I got a really sharp pain in my rib cage. It really scared me cause I couldn't breathe.
It's a little embarassing, b/c I feel bad to interrupt for my husband. (and myself!) But, all I would say to you is, make sure you're partner is in sync with you emotionally too. You should never feel so uncomfortable or embarassed that you can't concentrate on the moment!

Doesn't it suck? People could never imagine all the thing that having CF affects!

What sucks even more is when you are single and just starting dating someone. I had a guy break up with me because I "wasn't good" but I could barely breathe! I am so afraid that eventually if the guy I am starting to see and I do it, it will happen all over again. But I have learned not to tell about CF too soon. Just not fair Can't win

I think when you find the right partner, you shouldn't have to worry about a coughing fit during, or shortness of breath. Anyone who breaks up with you over that is pretty shallow, and doesn't really care about the person you are. I had a guy flake out on me during a hemoptysis episode, and I ended up breaking up with him because I realized he wasn't worth my time. I kid you not, my episode was so severe I ended up having to go to emergency - but before I went, I had to call someone to take him home because he suddenly felt light headed when I told him I had to go to ER. People like that just aren't worth our time I think.

Well the only time I get tired and winded during sex is when they won't stop running
