I'm in CA so I don't know what the laws are there in PA, but don't they have any kind of Medicaid system? Reading that you haven't received treatment since you were 18 is really concerning. Also, many of the prescription drug companies have free/reduced meds programs for people without insurance/prescription coverage. I have insurance, and Genentech had a voucher program for Pulmozyme that even we qualified for, to help with our really big copay we had then. The social worker at the cf clinic should be able to help you with that. You will probably need their help to get it- you at least need a prescription to get started. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">

The social worker will also be able to help you with the Medicaid issue. My clinic also has samples and vouchers for freebies of the prescription meds. Let us know how it goes!

Utilizing the social worker at the CF Clinic is a great idea. My only concern with that is, if he doesn't have insurance yet, how's he going to pay for the clinic visit? It's a catch-22, and quite a sucky one at that!
