My husband roommate and I talked about something close to this a week ago. A lady pulled into the handicap parking spot at Ihop. Got out walked into the place with 3 kids, never putting up a handicap sticker. Which of course got us upset about this. But I mentioned that we dont truly know if she needed the spot or not . We cant judge on looks alone.Granted she didnt have a sticker up, but could of forgot to put it up or she didnt have one and parked illegally. I said people would look at me and say there is no way she is handicaped she must of stole that sticker from her grandma or something. But you know your wrong. There are things inside people that others cant see and its hard when others judge us b/c we can walk from the car to the door with somewhat of ese and dont need a wheelchair. I know what you man, its hard when people keep saying wow you gained weight you look great, your dark circles look good today or wow you look healty, CF hides inside and its hard for others to see what really is going on.

Heh just today I talked to my friend about the handicapped sticker thing. He knew I didn't feel well, and we went grocery shopping, so I used it today. He said "At least I don't feel bad about using it today" (meaning about him getting the close spot too, not me) and I said, "Well I can drop you off at the end of the lot to walk up, if you like." <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0"><img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0">

I get that "You have good color" thing sometimes too. I think it's because I am probably the color of hospital sheets most of the time.

But here's the thing I have actually been yealed at for using it and at one place I had the police called on me. I have CF and I'm 43 I'm ok sometimes, but others its hard for me to breath well enough to walk much, iIallso have gotten to the point where it agravates me when people tell me how good I look I know they are just being nice and all but I can look in the mirror myself, oh well
