I was told that this test was the ELISA test which means it is able to tell the difference between the enzymes that our pancreas make and the ones we ingest.....

My vitamin levels are low, especially my Vitamin D....I am really starting to wonder with the addison's disease possibly causing false positive sweat tests and now I am possibly pancreatic sufficient... It is odd.. I go back to clinc on Tuesday.. maybe they will have more answers...

Thanks for your ideas...

I'm actually pancreatic insufficient, but my change of diet has prevented the need for enzymes, though sometimes I do end up in serious need of them. However, i can easily gain weight.

The major point would be to keep your nourishment up, since the primary reason for enzymes is to absorb the nourishment into the body like the pancreas is supposed to do but can't due to the lack of its own enzymes.

if the proper level of enzymes is not maintained, its just like putting a big hole in your gas tank and trying to take a long trip...most of the gas will leak out of the tank becoming useless and the rest of the gas will make it to the engine where it will be used for energy. (Is this a good visual description?)
