it doesn't seem like a doctor would suspect diabetes based on one reading of 123. he must have other evidence including past readings or other symptoms?

Well i did fast the day i had to get blood taken. but see if the blood sugar didn't go down, then theres something wrong. They wanted to see if it would go down. Since it did then theres no problem. They told me i had to fast for that day. The docor just wanted to make shure nothing was wrong and she said it was high. So she wanted me to get my blood taken again. Now its at 78, thats normal for a person that doesn't have the disease. Shes not my doctor, shes my moms doctors partner in the job flied.

Your CF clinic should be doing an annual glucose tolerance test to check your for CFRD. Along with this, there should be a blood test for your H1Ac level. These will be much, much better indicators than those two isolated readings.
