This discussion started over a month ago but it is possible a non CF parent or care giver could carry a mutagenic strain with them to another location if it hadn't died yet. It seems MRSA is the big discussion of health care outside the specifics of CF anyway. Meaning even that's a tough bug for people without CF, and maybe even healthy (high school sports open wound injury) kids.
I recommend Atul Gawande's book "Better" (2008). Infections can be on doorknobs, hospital door handles, nurse and doctor clothing (including ties), unchanged aide's gloves emptying urine bags, etc. Seems like no chance is better odds than slight chance.
