hey everyone
so ive posted a few times here.
Im ttc, been 'shut down' by the doc ( turned down?). he changed his mind, doesnt want to do clomid or IUI just IVF.

Anywho- i started taking EPO (evening primrose oil) on day 1 of my cycle. im on day 6, and im noticing better cm already!
its watery and a bit stretchy, not nearly enough to be ewcm, especially on day 6. but im excited- hehe. I havent had good cm in maybe 4 yrs.
Im also going to do robitussin starting on day 10.

Even if I dont get pregnant this cycle, if my CM does what its suppose to Im going to call it a successful cycle.

My temps have been low however----

Lolita,

Two things. You seem to ovulate on either Day 17 or 18. You may already know that, though.

Second, you can only take EPO during the first half of your cycle. EPO can cause uterine contractions which could potentially prevent the egg from attaching to the uterus. During the second half of your cycle, you need to switch to Flax Seed Oil capsules. I'm not sure if you know that or not, but like I said before, I've tried everything. Another supplement that can help strengthen your uterine lining during the second half of your cycle is Red Raspberry. It's very cheap.

On a side note, your charted cycles do look good. Actually, they are very similar to mine. I also have a very clear dip the day prior to ovulation which makes intercourse timing so much easier.

How many milligrams of EPO are you taking? I use to take 2,000 mg a day.

Edited to Add: I really wish you the best of luck. I feel like you and I are on somewhat similiar paths. I have to go for bloodwork tomorrow, Monday. My doctors are drawing a Progesterone level on me to see if I ovulated (Cycle Day 24). I know my body 'tried' to this cycle, but I had a large cyst in the way again. We'll see...

Cysts are normal things I know, but I never like the sounds of it! I had one on my right ovary and it was removed while searching for endo.
I didnt even know I had it.

Yep Im a late ovulater... I NEVER was before. Then last summer my cycles just getting longer and longer and I d ovulate later and later. Last month of course threw me for a loop and I had a 30 day cycle.. UGH just when i went and got used to having 32.

To me, my charts look perfect- except the temp drop on the last days

Ive had people tell me I have tri phasic charts and ooh i so wish.

Good luck with your blood work. I hope it says what you want it to.
Did you notice any difference with EPO? I take 3000/mg a day every 8 hours. Im adding in robittusin too. I read that 1500-3000 mg is recommended of EPO. So I went for the high numbers.
Yes I know to stop taking the EPO, Ive already got my calendar marked for it!
Like I said, even if it just makes my CM different than it has been - I'll consider it a success.
Id like to see your charts

Some months I swore that I noticed a difference with EPO, yet others no. I feel the same way about the use of Mucinex/Robitussin. As a matter of fact, I had months where I used the stuff and two days later my CM was green-tinted. My abnormal CM has always been an issue. It has been tested so many times and comes up normal...

I have really only 2 charts to show you, but that's fine. I had around 6 charts from last year that I discarded in August when I felt all hope was lost. Plus, I then moved in with my parent's for 2 months until buying my new home. I only started charting again in November but stopped again in January when I got so sick and ended up on IVs.

I really haven't bothered to start charting again. Jake is actually glad I stopped. He felt I was so obsessed with it.

My charts do look good and ovulatory. We'll see...

I'm 90% sure that I did at least 'try' to ovulate this month. My temp was still HIGH today so my progesterone level should still be high enough for them to be able to tell. That's why I took one today and yesterday. Keeping fingers crossed...

Random thought...Pre-OV temps: 97.0 - 97.4. Post-OV temps: 97.8 - 98.2.
