Thanks Harriett,
You beat me to the punch. I was going to post a similar message apologizing for my hasty response. I did a little research as well as to how BCP Imports is related to Brainchild Products. I have to say..using twitter to find our thread is very creative! I'm impressed he found it! BTW...who can tell me what cysticbot is?

I bet he has a BOT/something electronic that crawls the web for any product he sells, and he invented something off the top of his head with 'cystic' tacked onto it to look like he was somehow connected to fundraising for our cause. Just my opinion of course.

Okay, I don't know about the sb guy -- but if purchasing these in bigger numbers would be cheaper, I'd be willing to pitch in. I'm sure my kids would love to sell them as a fundraiser and maybe get all their friends involved.

There was a school fundraiser a few years ago at one of my town's schools for a child who had cancer, involving selling Smencils (scented pencils that are all the rage among kids their age) in the cafeteria that raised quite a bit of money, so something like this might be a big success! The only potential roadblock to selling silly bands at school may be that many schools have banned them due to the distraction factor (kids are so obsessed with playing with them, trading them, and the little kids shoot them like rubber bands...) Our primary school banned them, but the elementary school for older kids still allows them- I think. We'll see what they say come September. However, I do think there is great fundraising potential to them.

They are not banned at our school, yet. Our CF walk is in September; I was thinking it would be a good thing to have at the walk for Maggie' friends, my son's friends, family anyone really...They are relatively inexpensive AND the in thing. We could say "let's get Silly for CF" or something like that. Having Medical shaped one, Tonya suggest a rose shape...I'm thinking it would be successful..
