Screw lemonade, make yourself a martini and then get a pedicure and
buy a pair of shoes! Life is always so much more tolerable in
a new pair of shoes.
eriously I try to laugh and recount the small things i truly enjoy
thats why I'm always yapping about my shoe fetish. I am also
big on buying a new lipstick or taking myself to a movie or for
icecream sometimes just sitting in a park enjoying a day...but it's
a bit hot for that right now so I strongly recommend the shoes
especially if you were handed a doosy.

I always try to remember that no matter how bad I have it that there's always someone out there that has it worse.
It may not work for you, but it helps me.
I hope things start to look brighter for you

I have found that when my life gets crummy I search out someone
else with a problem a bit harder to solve than mine and just
a hug or smile and lots and lots of prayer! It is amazing what
happens when we don't focus on our circumstance I know it is
very hard to do at times oh by the way i agree new shoes help
every time too!

Thanks everyone! And Debbie, I got a new pair of shoes last weekend! Mostly it's the money part of life that has me down right now, we are in a little debt (not too much) and since I'm on disability I can only work part-time and my husband can only work part-time (but because of school he isn't working this summer) and our car just broke down (again) and we don't have a dime set aside for adoption. It just feels like we can't get out of this hole! We are totally limited to what we can make and so we will have to work with that. I hate Money!!!!!!!

Alright that's my venting session, thanks for all your uplifting comments.

Yes, making lemonade is sometimes difficult!!!!!! But hang in there and surround yourself with positive people and thoughts! Try, try to find the positive in every situation and focus on that it is MUCH easier!!!!

Hang in there ya' all!

I find when I'm down, and my luck is rotten, and it seems like things can't get any better, I try to remember that I have friends and family behind me. That I can face anything with the support that I have.

well honey-

If you know me at all, you know that I've been handed a barrel of lemons in life. CF is just one of them-among a sea of lemons. A truckload. No-actually a whole grove of lemon trees! Ok, you get it!! LOL.

But that's the point. You do have to try to laugh. I'm still working on the recipe myself. Sometimes my 'lemonade' is way too sour b/c I'm not viewing things the way I should be. Sometimes, I try to make it so sweet that I get sick of it and try to chuck the whole d*mn glass down the drain! ok, enough of the lemonade analogies. Sorry, I was having fun there.

I think there's a few things I know for sure. 1-Try not to take life, and most importantly-yourself too seriously. There are really very few instances in the human race where things DO actually 'fall apart'. They seem like they are, but in my experience-things are not falling apart at all when I think they are. Life is trying to show me how to put it together and I am just too disconnected with myself to focus.
2-Don't blame all your problems on everyone/everything else. Even if they really are caused by someone else-just don't blame em on that. Take responsibility for the situation. It empowers you.
3-A good therapist helps!! LOL!!

Take care hon-and try to laugh!
