NO offense, but if I could wring your neck I would. Please do us all a favor, open you eyes and look at ALL the POSTS under ALL the TOPICS before you post a question like this. This question has already been asked and answered a million times over.

The purpose of this website is for those with CF and their family members to come and talk, ask SPECIFIC questions about the disease and get advice. If you have a SPECIFIC CF question, by all means, ask it. But if you just want general information. READ ALL the posts first, they are very educational.

Yes and although there are no rules for this site, I use it as a place for support to talk to all the people that I have somthing in common with and so when I see these posts, it makes me feel like a science experiment!!!
PLEASE ONLY ASK SPECIFIC QUESTIONS

Yeah, and never ever ask "how does CF affect your life?" That is one of the more general and useless questions you can ask. It affects nearly everything. Like the last poster said, if you've got a specific questions, please do ask. But asking for "info" or really vague stuff like that is useless for both you and us. We have no way to answer that type of question unless we want to type a 100 page report for you. And you won't get the information you need. Try being more specific.

Thank you so much for all of your input. It's really helped my project run smoothly.
If you can think of anything else, such as day-to-day physical limitation, treatment, or any famous cases of CF, I would be extremely appreciative.
Thanks again for your time.

Physical limitations vary greatly within the disease. Some people can do everything a non-CFer can; others can't function without oxygen-- this is a progressive disease after all. Treatmens also vary, but generally consist of inhaled bronchodilators, antibiotics, physical therapy to loosen mucus, and digestive enzymes.

Famous cases- I'm drawing a blank at the moment of celebrities who are famous w/ CF. Boomer Esiason's son has CF. Also, there are several memoirs about CFers out there- Breathing for a Living (Laura Rothenberg), Alex: Life of a Child (Frank Parker?), and my personal favorite, Give Me One Wish (Jacquie Gordon). There's also a book called Alive at 35! or something like that; I was not such a fan. Good luck.

I just think that happens to be a ridiculous question. Unless, of course, you're looking for a hundred page answer. It's such a broad question, as CF affects EVERYTHING.

Yes I agree with emily and a few others. The generalized questions asked daily on this site by people doing school projects get so repetative it can be frustrating. I have taken the time to answer a few in great depth, like the LIFE post in the teen or young adults section (dont' remember which one-sorry). But this site isn't soley here for people to ask such generalized questions, especially if they don't have CF, or a family member with CF and especially when the questions have been answered 10 times over on previous posts.

That being said, if you have done your research (reading posts on this site, internet, books...) and have some more questions, dont' understand things and want a bit more information please, by all means, ask your SPECIFIC questions, everybody has a right to get answers to their questions. But please come to this site prepared with what you SPECIFICALLY need to know and things you have read about/heard about but still don't understand or have questions about.

Julie (wife to Mark 24 w/CF)

Yes, asking how cf affects someone's life requires a long answer, but I talk a lot(I guess I need to remember the verse that says, "The wise in heart accept commands, but a chattering fool comes to ruins."(Proverbs 10:8 I think)lololololol. LOL. Yes and consequently, I like to post a lot. That's why you'll find me all over the board. So if you ask, you're in for a long post, but I'll try to give you an answer. And listen up, other cfers! If more people know the horror of this disease(including being nakad in the hospital and someone coming in-lol), more people will be inclined to help us. By the way schoolproject, there is a CF Walk coming up, I think this April. Any other praying people here? If so, please pray for this.
In Christ, (oh and by the way, I think it's time I reveal who the Rider on the white horse is- He is Jesus Christ, Son of God.)
