Have you been tested for Aspergillus? I was on and off IVs that never seemed to work. Turned out the problem was that I needed an anti-fungal, not an anti-biotic. An aspergillus specific IgE blood test would be how they'd check for that.

my other question is has he done a bronch?

it sounds as though whatever abx you're on aren't treating your infections accurately.

sputum cultures are ok, but bronchs are infinitely more accurate. you may have a bug lurking deep down that isn't showing up on sputum cultures. i would get a bronch scheduled asap.

Ditto on the above answers.. I recently found that i hadn't been given an important test for 9 yrs (i had recently switched centers and they give it yearly)..
Are they doing cultures every time you go to clinic? (especially if you are "sick")..

I do have sinusitis. An MRI showed that about a year ago. My doctor didn't want to listen to that of course. Yet he has ordered me to go to get a CT scan of the sinuses and chest. Ugh, I can't stand it.
