so last night i didn't get pretty much any sleep. i feel like crap. my nose is all stuffy, my throat hurts and i have a cough. i broke down and e-mailed my cf doctor. this is stupid. how can you be off iv's for two freaking weeks and then manage to get something. pisses me off something fierce. not to mention i think my heartburn is going to eat me alive and my hubby can tell that i don't feel good. i talked to my mom on the phone last night and she told me i sounded awful and really congested. there is a bug of something going on around here, so that only compounds it. i haven't even been anywhere to catch the stupid thing! i blame it on the hubby, he brough it home. he looks at me last night and tells me that some of the guys he works with whose wives are pregnant have gotten sick in the past week and wound up in the er. so i'm thinking just great, just freaking great. i'm supposed to start back work on sunday and i feel like this. and i told them i was fine to start working more hours. i feel so bad now. i just wanna sleep, but the dog is bugging me and i haven't been sleeping well. the dog can wait i'm gonna try and get some sleep.

try some papaya enzymes for the heartburn. Yu can get them at a health food store. they are safe for pregnancy. I kept a bottle near my bed. When it was really bad I took tums, but if I just munched a few papya enzymes every few hours i could keep it at bay. They taste much better than tums. hope you feel better!

Actually, I think I caught it from the home health nurse. I was so frustrated. My PFT's had risen so well & then crashed. Anyways, I had to stay on IV for a month because of it. I thought it was crazy that I was so sick while on IV's-I guess its true-antibiotics do NOTHING for a virus.
One thing that always helps me are zinc tablets/coldeeze/ Ask your doc if they are approved for pregnancy. If you take them right away at first sign of a cold & take one about every 4 hours, they may help. It always helps me. I hope you can try that. Drink some hot tea (lemon) to try & thin the mucus too.
Just try & stay positive & beat this thing. It is so hard for us CF'ers to stay healthy! Just last night I was at a small party & the hostess was horribly sick-coughing, sneezing-UGH! I am so worried I'm gonna get it! I swear we just can't avoid it! Stay positive & hope U feel better!

This Tuesday I started getting fevers and they wouldn't go away! I slept all week, and finally I didn't get a fever last night or this morning and I believe I am on the mend.
