i'm sure most of you have heard about the pregnant marine who was killed in jacksonville, nc. she was 8 months pregnant at the time and was killed by another marine who has now fled. she had alleged him of raping her. on this past friday the police recieved information stating that she had been killed and buried in onslow county. saturday afternoon it was released that her body had been found in the suspects backyard, burned. the autopsty determined the cause of death was traumatic injury to her head caused by blunt force. they still are unsure if the baby had been born before her death or not. the marine that is suspected of killing her took off earlier friday morning and left a note for his wife stating that the pregnant marine had cut her own throat and he had buried her body . what kills me is that she was missing for a month. also nc is one of the two states i think is what the news said that does not have the law to be able to charge him with two counts of murder. as long as the baby did not take a breath, he will only be charged with one count of murder. this baffles my mind !!! in my opinion it's two counts of murder. i was just wondering what every one else's thoughts are on this. and yes if you look at my name and begin to wonder, i am a marine wife, so this is something that hits kinda close to home for me. i also wanted to know what everyone thinks about the westboro baptist church. they are the ones who protest all of the solider funerals. they are apparently planning on protesting at the camp lejeune gates this coming saturday and it just makes my blood boil !!

Bickering over the finer points won't erase any of the crimes and extreme lapses in moral judgment that are being brought to light in this case. It's a tragedy on many levels.

always strikes me as strange that the USA can have such a difference in its laws across the board, but then again its not one great big country, its 50 states ( a bit like Europe in a way).
Yes it should be 2 counts of murder, afterall the baby is past the 24 week mark, so if it is illegal to perform an abortion after 24 weeks, then it stands to reason then the baby is held to be exactly that , a baby, not a feotus. I,m curious what are the states laws on abortion? does it fit in with the non-murder count?

Oh make sure that the steering is checked, wouldn't want you driving into base and having your steering go all wonky on you and accidentally running over some baptist loonies

Ok, this church only calls itself a church and it is certainly not a baptist church, if you read on the baptist doctrines and beliefs this will be evident, it is an insult to every man and woman that have ever served in this country's armed forces and a disgrace to all Christians. I don't know of a single church that condones this activity, it is a rogue group of people using God's name to slander the American public and will be punished for their actions, if not by us then by who's higher than us.
