hey all...

Now, I'm not new to cf or oily cf poo that accompanies belly aches, by any means, BUT, I've been having some issues where I'll forget to take pills or I won't take enough and I'll have oily poop and gas. Sorry to be graphic and gross but I know many of you will know where I'm coming from! It's messy and yucky and I wondered if an anti-diarrhea type med would help? I know it probably won't, but do you guys think it'll atleast help? Has anyone tried something like this??

thanks, all!

I wouldn't- might give you a blockage. Just adjust your enzymes to fit that meal next time <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0"> .

DO NOT use products like Pepto Bismol, Kaopectate or Immodium to treat your loose stools. These products contain a substance that is like clay, sucking up all the available water in the gut. That's how it stops diarrhea that's watery. CFers have oily poop--we're not losing water, we're losing fat. Adjusting your enzymes or the foods you're eating is the way to go.
