Missy, You don't want to wait to have something done if it is needed now. In the long run it will make life easier because he will have the extra weight to fight infections.
It will just become a part of his life and after a while
you really don't notice it. I forget my daughter has one half the time. It comes in handy though when they get backed up. You can pump golytely through them and meds that taste nasty. Also, when you child is alseep and needs meds no problem. You don't need to wake them. The inlaws will come around. My mother is old school and if I left things to her my daughter would'nt be here. Bottom line.
You and your husband are the parents and you are acting in the best interest of Grant. Follow your heart when it comes to your child and not the guilt.
