Everyone has given you good advice. You just need to let everything go and take care of yourself and the babies. my house is far from spotless and things aren't always accomplished on time and that is OK! It is just what stage we are in right now. Having your mom come stay is good. Get as much help as you can. I like the idea of hiring a "mother's helper". My mom had a neighbor girl come over and play with me when I was a baby. She'd take me for walks in the stroller, entertain me, etc. All while my mom was home so she could have a break. Or you could have the mother's helper straighten up a little, whatever you want.
As far as breastfeeding and the meds - you don't have to switch to bottles if you don't want to. Many people have taken both meds and breastfed just fine. I took prednisone for an asthma flare up when my son was about 5 months old and he was fine. Dr Hale (a pharmacologist and the leading expert on medications and mother's milk) says: "The amount of prednisone transferred into milk is negligable. The amount reported in milk is much less than 2% of the dose...probably around 0.14%.". So I think your babies would be fine if you wanted to continue nursing them. As far as bactrim goes, Dr. Hale says that as long as the baby isn't allergic to sulfa drugs, bactrim is fine for the mother to take as there is no contraindication in breastfeeding mothers. You can see Dr. Hale's forum at this link: <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://neonatal.ttuhsc.edu/cgi-bin/discus/discus.cgi?pg=topics&access=guest

I suggest bookmarking the link for future reference or consider getting his book "Medications and Mother's Milk".
Gotta run, Congrats on your babies <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
