Infants and Enzymes

Hi there,

My Ellie will be 4 months on Thursday. She was diagnosed at 9 weeks. I too try to make it a game. I don't use applesauce or baby bananas (although I have in the past and baby bananas definitely worked better for Ellie), I mix a little bit os rice cereal up with her milk and enzymes and use a baby spoon to feed her. I follow immediately with her bottle and that seems to work really well. Sometimes when she's really hungry I Open up the capsule and pour down the beads but I again immediately follow it with the bottle. Rice cereal seems to work the best for her. For her medicine I also use syringes, and she does put up a fight sometimes. As soon as her medicines down though I sing her a little song and tell her how proud I am of her and hug, hug, hug. I found she like the Vitamax multivitamin better than the adeks (and her clothes don't get those awful orange stains). I hope this helps, we do have our perfect moments and our not so perfect moments trying to get all this stuff down, but praise, praise, praise, and smile, smile, smile, and it will get a little easier. Please feel free to email me at shimmereestar@yahoo.com

Meds were miserable around here for awhile. We still do what hopeful does, open the capsule and pour it in. We've always had the best luck that way.
