Insurance coordination

I am not that familiar with how medicare coordinates with other insurance, but generally speaking, whichever one provides the best coverage, that coverage is basically what you have. If the insurance that covers less stuff pays first, then the better insurance pays the difference up to what it would have paid if it were the only payor. If the better insurance pays first, the other insurance pays nothing.

I'm on disability and I think I will begin getting Medicare at the beginning of the year, which I'm really dreading. My husband has insurance through his employer and I believe that would be our primary because his employer has more than 100 employees. But as far as what Medicare will actually pick-up, I have no idea. Hopefully you can find some answers to your questions from the link above.
