intercostal muscle pain

When I was pregnant 2+ years ago, I threw some intercostal muscles out of place.  There was so much pain, that we originally thought that I fractured some ribs from coughing so hard.  Anyway, the pain finally went away a couple of months after having my son and I thought I was home free.  A few weeks ago, I started coughing a lot and had intercostal muscle pain again, although not to the severity that I couldn't walk like last time.  My cough is primarily gone after some oral antibiotics but my muscles still bother me a lot.  I'm popping aleve like candy.  Anyway, if anyone has experienced this does seeing a chiropractor help?  Or deep tissue massage?  Any other suggestions?  Thanks in advance.  <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I see a chiropractor monthly. When I really hurt an intercostal it usually takes 6 wks to heal. Nothing helps but time.
