If you are obstructed, don't eat at all, that can compound the problem. Miralax works great, and you dont need a prescription. Take plenty of it, with plenty of liquids. It may take a few days though.

I just got back after being in the hospital for four days, and thanks for all the messages. It did turn out to be an obstruction. I went to the hospital as soon as i made the post, cause the pain was really annoying. They did a ct scan and saw inflammation and an obstructed bowel. The doctor also said something about some fluid in my abdominal cavity, so i have to go back in a few weeks and get an ultrasound done.

You're guys advice on the miralax and golytely was right on. After ruling out crohns disease, they gave me a 4 litre jug of some sort of bowel cleanser that i had to drink in an hour. Talk about a lesson in humility! I dunno what was worse, going to the bathroom every hour or having to do it with 3 other people in the room! Ugh! At least i managed to make it to the bathroom, and not the wierd potty thing they put beside my bed. Can you imagine, my poor neighbors lol

At least i know what to do the next time i start having the same symptoms. Miralax it is

Thanks again.
