Irrational fears for a CF little girl

The only fear you mentioned that doesn't make any sense to me in the wind. Monsters is pretty typical, I've heard of fears about going down the drain, especially if someone joked about it or another kid said something to her. Lots of people are afraid of bees. But this wind thing I don't get. Do you live in an area prone to tornados? Maybe she thinks that any time the wind comes up it means a tornado is coming.

My daughter was petrified of the wind or any storm for that matter. We took her to Universal and went into the "tornadoe" one. OMFG the kid should have gone to therapy from that. We live in NY so tornadoes are a normal thing. We havent had anything fall on our home etc.

Sounds pretty normal to me, too. I remember making a running leap to get in my bed because I was afraid to walk right up to it in the dark (this was when I was older than 5 ), being afraid of going down the drain because the "Scrubbing Bubbles" in the bathroom cleanser commercial did (Mr. Rogers even did a ditty about being scared of going down the drain, so I'm guessing that this one is pretty common ), and my daughter was totally freaked out by the wind the first time she was old enough to notice how hard it can blow, and it took a little while and a few windy days to talk her out of it- now she has decided to be afraid of the vacuum cleaner *rolling eyes* .
