is it a guarantee that you will have to get sinus surgery at some point?

I've never had sinus surgery. Some years prior to my diagnosis, I was scheduled to have exploratory surgery because I was battling so many sinus infections and they found a polyp. But the surgery got delayed and rescheduled at least twice. The polyp burst on its own before they could go in and look. So they canceled it.

Aidan is 4 and has had 3 significant sinus surgeries.Despite daily hypertonic adult sinus rinses,we cannot keep the polyps and infection away. His sinuses were so badly infected at age 1, that the bone in his nose disintegrated from all the pressure. The CF docs did not pick up the severe sinus disease until a CT scan. Since then, he has had 3 PICC lines to clear sinus infection. His lungs however are great!
