is it just me?

I too had some problem with managing my Great Strides page online. After last year, I encouraged my friends not to donate online. Many of them were contacted to increase their donations. I didn't like that.

lauren,

thank for asking! i ended up playing down the walk part and playing up the fundraising part, like you suggested i believe. i decided there were people with whom i didn't feel comfortable getting into WHY i couldn't do the walk. so i'm just raising money until that day and then i'll send in my stuff.

as for the online stuff...thanks so much for your help to everyone who replied. there is something screwey going on with my account. i was apparently logged in yet unable to do any of the functions i should be able to. so i tried logging out and back in, but then it said i wasn't registered for any walk at all. i went through the registration again and all of my information from last year was in there (i didn't end up walking last year b/c i never got over the cepacia hurdle). bottom line, now i have 2 accounts, one with $0 that i can view, the other with $735 which i cannot! i'll get it straightened out soon...

DH's aunt had similar issues this year. The first year she was involved with the walk, she didn't feel comfortable registering online, so we went into the team leader's account and signed her up, so people could look her up and donate. Then the next year the CFF sent out post cards to people with their screen names, but freaky long password/numbers. So I don't know if they were still in the system from long long ago and the varied passwords were causing problems.

Anyway, thought they worked out all the bugs in their system, but she and dh's cousin's wife signed up, but didn't show up as part of the team. The CFF rep could see them, but couldn't figure out how they ended up registered 'cuz they were just in limbo. The aunt signed up 3 times before emailing me and I just added her to the team, then I was able to find her screen name and put in a request to send her the password. Then it worked. And it just happened to be the same password that I signed her up with years ago -- my MIL's maiden name.
