is it possible to go from pancreatic sufficient to pancreatic insufficient

I am 21 and have a "milder" case of CF. As of right now I am pancreatic sufficient, but lately every single time I eat anything no matter how big or small my stomach kills for up to 2 hrs afterwards. It hurts from my esophagus to my butt and especially in my intestines area. Is this what a pancreatic insufficiency feels like and is it possible to go from pancreatic sufficient to pancreatic insufficient. If so how long does it take to make the change and is what I am describing, what it feels like? If what I am describing not pancreatic insufficiency, does anybody else get my type of symptoms and what can I do to ease the discomfort. For example I ate about two hours ago, and I am gas-ey and want to vomit and it has been like this for the past two hours. I don't know what to do and it is has been like this everytime I have eaten for the past two weeks. But oddly enough, I'm not losing weight, so everything must be absorbing right?

I would suggest seeing a gastroenterologist to find out what is going on.

I am PS, also. I have the Deltra F508 with is PI, but my other isn't, so the dr. said I'm mostly PS. However, I have been having more and more stomach-type problems in the last year or so. Many more recently, altho I don't know what they are related to until I see my GI again. I have wondered, also, if you can go from PI to PS. It may be that even w/o being PI, CF can affect our pancreas and digestive organs.

I'll be interested to see what others say.
