We've been able to come home with a picc in the past. I'm just not sure if they'll let us go by Friday or keep us through the weekend. The hospital doesn't seem to function well on the weekend.

Hopefully you'll get to go home with a PICC. Ellie was in for 4 days and we both were going crazy. Lots of music, books, DVD's. I'll be praying, hospital stays are no fun.

I hope all is going well with Alyssa. We are in the same boat...Hannah is base line no cough, has had a cough since before Fathers Day. We have done a month of Tobi, two weeks of Augmentem (spelling?) and two weeks of Cipro. Her CF dr. had me bring her down to clinic two weeks ago for a fresh culture to see what was brewing, and it's only showing MRSA.

Keeping Miss Alyssa in my thoughts and prayers.

My goodness,,, I don't know what is going on in the new clinic we are at...Since July 2008 Makailyn has been on at least 2 antibiotics running on each a 21 day course,, through May of 2009.... Her lung functions have dropped alot,,, she has had a honking/seal sound cough, which had stopped in June and today it's starting to come back...
She's having difficulty swallowing food even things like pudding,it's been a horrible school year (she has missed more than half the school yr),her chest xrays have showed bronchitis,,air trapping, overinflation,,and on and on....She's in the 10% on wt, and ht....

Of course her cultures always come up with the usual bugs,,,they say her lungs are colonized....I don't know what to say ,,, it has worried me all yr with all the extra antibiotics and the changes I'v seen in her and this clinic not put her in for a tune up!!!
